Commonsense Guide to Cyber Security for Small Businesses by the US Chamber of Commerce

This is an older, but largely relevant resource released by the US Chamber of Commerce in 2004.

Description from uschamber.com:

Worms... Viruses...Hackers... Are you—and your business—safe from any or all of these threats? Many small business owners do not know how to protect their computer networks, which are the core of business operations and host sensitive business information. To remedy that, we created a Commonsense Guide to Cyber Security for Small Businesses, which outlines 12 practical steps small businesses can take to secure their assets.

Download and read the guide

We wanted to make sure that we addressed the needs of businesses like yours, so, prior to creating the Guide, we conducted 10 focus groups with a total of nearly 100 small business owners. We then asked for their feedback on early versions of the Guide. The result: a first of its kind cybersecurity guide for small businesses developed with the direct input of small business owners.
